Since 1984, Graffiti has been one of the few hat manufacturers in the USA that actually cuts, sews, embroiders, and ships from the same domestic facility. Our American-made caps are produced from start to finish in our Cleveland, Ohio production facility.

A Cap Company Built on American Manufacturing
We’ve spent 40 years refining the craft of domestic hat production. That means building long-term relationships with American material suppliers, investing in our own lamination and digitizing equipment, and keeping every stage of production under one roof.
When people are looking for ball caps made in USA, they usually want more than just a flag on the label. They want to know where the fabric was sourced, who sewed it, and whether the embroidery was done in the same building or outsourced overseas. At Graffiti, we source our materials from suppliers across the United States and manufacture everything under one roof in Cleveland.
The Styles of Hats Made at Our USA Facility
5-Panel Caps
Our 5-panel line includes four profiles: the 501 Low Profile, and the 502, 503, and 504, which range from mid to high trucker style. Every option is available with a curved or flat visor and comes in a wide selection of colors and fabrics.
6-Panel Caps
This is where most of our customers land. The Mid Profile 603 offers a generous fit with flat or curved visor boards and comes in 16 unique fabric choices across hundreds of color combinations.
Dye-Sub Caps
Our dye-sub process creates high-quality photographic printing that transfers your design directly into the fabric. Because the fabric is permanently dyed, the result holds up under demanding conditions.
Foam Caps
Foam is where the American-made baseball cap started, and we take pride in bringing it back the right way. We laminate all of our foam products in-house at our Cleveland facility, which gives us full quality control throughout the process. The line includes over 50 colors and four fabric choices, available in solid or mesh construction.
Tactical Caps
Our tactical caps are built for fieldwork. Velcro placement options are available at the front, top, and back of the cap. They come in a curved visor only, in either structured or unstructured builds, across three fabric choices in hundreds of colors. Available profiles are the 703, 704, Cadet, and 603.
Sports Visors
The Sport Visor is a low-profile, form-fitting option with a crown height just under 2 inches. It includes a diamond knit-wicking sweatband, a Velcro closure, and a pre-curved visor. Available in 17 fabric choices and over 195 colors. Embroidery is applied before assembly for a clean interior finish.
Knit Caps
Our knit caps are knitted, cut, sewn, and assembled in the USA using imported yarn. They can be made with or without cuffs and are available with or without a 3M Thinsulate lining for extra warmth. The line comes in 15 colors, plus six additional colors in our Vintage Line. All embroidery is done before assembly, keeping the interior smooth and free of irritation.
In-House Digitizing and Embroidery, All Done in Cleveland
This is where Graffiti sets itself apart from hat manufacturers that produce caps in one place and embroider them somewhere else.
All digitizing is done in-house by our Cleveland team, which brings over 30 years of award-winning experience. Whether your artwork is camera-ready or a rough sketch, we convert it into an embroidery program built specifically for hat production. We pay careful attention to stitch density, color layering, and registration so the finished result looks sharp at any production volume. We also offer 3D digitizing for raised, dimensional designs.
Because embroidery and cap manufacturing happen under the same roof, everything stays cohesive. Thread tension, backing, and stitch density are all calibrated for the specific cap being produced. That level of control is only possible when you’re not shipping blanks across the country to a separate decorator.
A Spec Hat Before You Commit to a Full Run
Before we run a full production order, we send a spec hat for your review. You check the fit, colors, embroidery placement, and overall feel before we commit to the full run. If something needs to change, we make it right. That kind of quality checkpoint is only possible when manufacturing and decoration happen in the same facility.

Why We Keep Making Caps in the USA
It would be cheaper not to. Offshore production would lower our unit costs, and we’d probably move more volume. But Graffiti was built on doing this the right way. That means keeping production in Cleveland, keeping jobs in the United States, and standing behind every cap that goes out the door.
When you buy caps made in the USA from Graffiti, they were built by American hands in an American facility. That’s not a marketing line. That’s just what we do.
A Note on the Richardson 112 (Import)
We do carry one imported option, the Richardson 112, for customers who specifically request it. It comes in over 50 colorways with a snapback closure and a 60/40 cotton-polyester twill front. Every other cap covered above is manufactured in our Cleveland facility. The Richardson 112 is the only imported product we carry, and we label it that way clearly.
